down as the belly.
Ascending Aortic Aneurysm or Dissection Repair:
Portion of the damaged aorta is cut out and replaced with a
Dacron/Gore-Tex graft (man-made polyester material). This
operation is performed through a traditional sternotomy
incision in the middle of the chest.
